he giggled.

his giggles turned into laughs turned into sobs turned into screams.

his fists clenched and slammed into the metal tins of oils surrounding him in the warehouse at the docks.

it was a cold night.

but his dark blue overalls kept him warm. warm enough to make him want to kill someone.

blonde wisps of hair fell over his eyes as he tried to collect him thoughts.

kill, kill, BOSS, kill, boss, kill boss? NO, kiss, kill, KISSboss

he gripped his head and reached back into his tool kit, pulling out his over-sized wrench. he clenched it and hugged it to him. he gritted his teeth and bit onto the metal, wincing as he heard the metal clash against his teeth.

what could he do? what was there to do? should he do something?

he lifted his head as he heard footsteps from the entrance of the warehouse.

"fuck you! who are you!?" he yelled, his expression changing as he spotted his boss walking out towards him, his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face.

he cringed and stepped back "what buisiness do ya have in my workshop, boss?" he asked, smirking. his blues eyes glinted devilishly through his hair and into ladd's.

ladd shrugged his shoulders and looked away "you call this run-down piece of shit your workshop?" he asked, pulling his hand from inside his pocket to comb his fingers through his hair.

"do you like polka, boss?"

"..."

grahams smirk became cat-like and he bent over to lean over an oil barrel. he peered up at ladd through his hair. "well?"

"what does that have to do with anything?

"just tryin' ta start some friendly constapation."

"you mean, conversation."

"that too."

ladd shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest. "i heard you made peace with the tattoo-face kid." he growled, his eyes narrowed towards the annoying youth.

graham rolled his eyes "well, yeah. i liked his style."

"i have a bounty on his head. those bounties are to be respected." ladd snapped.

"i liked his style." graham mumbled and looked away, looking like a scolded child.

"my bounty." ladd growled.

"his style." responded graham snidely and turned away "what do you want?" he asked, dragging his wrench alongside him lazily.

"that's all."

"..."

"goodbye."

"there's a fine line between love and hate. don't make me hate you, boss."

ladd rose an eyebrow "you sayin' you love me?"

graham laughed "you say it so easily, boss."

"it's just a word."

graham shook his head "to some."

"to some what?"

"it's just a word."

"you confuse the FUCK out of me."

"are you leaving now, boss?"

"yeah."

"ok."

bang bang bang bang

he let out a gasp as the bullets penetrated deep into his arms and chest, sending him flipping over the table.

"fucking bastards!"

"why do they think we're that fucking weak!"

bang bang bang "AUGH!"

berga gritted his teeth as he reached over, grabbing his fallen brother as a few of their members ran over, capturing the fallen enemy.

luck remained limp for several seconds before his spilt blood returned to the bullet holes they fell from and the wounds closed up. the blonde man blinked several times as the world around him spun into place. once he was fully alive, a cross expression fell over his face. his smile was replaced by a deep, angry scowl.

keith appeared beside his brothers, his expression as distant as ever.

"this is the fifth fucking time this week! i'll pound those bastards to shit!" berga screamed, kicking the table luck tipped over when he fell. he then walked out, heading towards the door and out into the street, looking for anymore escaped enemies.

luck glanced at keith, his scowl fading. he let out a long sigh and picked up the table, looking around at their things. most of the bottles had broken to pieces and the walls were rattled with bullets. berga had a right to be angry, this was the fifth time they had been infiltrated and the three of them were clueless as to why.

the two looked up as berga walked in and past them, into the room where the other enemy man had been taken. "you little piece of shit!" his voice muffled out as the door slammed shut. luck ran his fingers through his hair in a form of collecting his thoughts. "i'll see you all later." he mumbled, taking his coat from a coat rack and slipping his arms into the sleeves as he exited caraggioso and stepped out onto the street.

he looked around and walked down the sidewalk, shoving his hands into his pockets and looking ahead. his expression was still rather angry but he was trying to cool off.

he froze. his body stiffened.

he saw her. sitting there on the curb. her forehead was resting on her knees and her arms were wrapped around her legs in self-comfort. her brown hair was frizzy and her hazel eyes were lost. she was lost. he could tell by just seeing her.

he was confused about helping her or not but everyone else seemed to pass by her carelessly. as if though she was a ghost. no one saw her. no one except me.

"excuse me miss." he didn't quite recognize his voice but realized that he somehow made it to standing beside her. she didn't look up. he saw her body tense a bit more. "are you alright?" he asked again, looking around.

she slowly raised her head and looked around. her eyes locked on his feet and in the slowest of ways, she started following his body upwards. when their eyes finally met, luck shifted awkwardly. "miss?" he asked again, clearing his throat.

she stared at him "i'm fine." her voice was hoarse and shaking. this made luck grow worried. he looked around. "are you sure? you look scared." he asked and pointed out. he knew he was probably prying into something that was far from being his buisiness. but something about her made him want to pry. want to know.

he shoved his hands in his pockets. "would you like to get some water somewhere?"

she stared at him "water?" she asked.

"yes, wa-" "mackie! mackie!"

luck looked up as two men, looking about his age dashed forward from the crowd and to the woman. she looked up and jumped to her feet, wrapping her arms around both the men. "oh! i thought you left me!" she cried, tears forming in her large amber eyes.

luck watched, his eyes growing distant.

one of the men looked up, his green eyes glistening. "thanks so much man. we left the store and walked and when we turned, we couldn't find her anywhere." he explained in a rush. he wrapped an arm around the woman's neck, pressing his lips to her temple. "don't run off on us like that, mackie."

the other man, his skin a lovely golden brown. his clear eyes happy and calm. he took the girls face, kissing  her cheek.

luck watched, confused.

she looked away, staring at luck for a few seconds. "you are a beautiful person."

her whisper sent chills down his spine.

he watched her walk down the street. he ran his hands through his hair a few times and turned away. his expression was confused. who was this woman?

the first bit of it is my favorite non-canon couple from baccano.

graham x ladd. <3

graham asks ladd if he likes polka because there's a video somewhere on youtube of graham mashing up an engine with his wrench and the vocaloid song "ievan polka" plays in the background.

the second one involves the grandor brothers. god help me. i totally got way into writting the thing with luck. i like this couple. mackie is mine. so are noah and blaise who are the two guys who went over. i had to pair SOMEONE up with luck. there are no canon's and although i support yaoi to the extreme, i don't like another man groping luck.:/

if you don't like it, comment elsewhere. i don't really care.
